$50k Bonuses Awarded to Rousey, Ellenberger, Means And Ferguson For UFC 184

It is always a good feeling when you get a paycheck at the end of a hard day’s work. It is even better when you receive an additional bonus for performing in higher standards. UFC President Dana White awarded four fighters with $50,000 performance of the night awards following UFC 184.

The easiest paycheck went to women’s bantamweight champion Ronda Rousey, who took only 14 seconds to submit Cat Zingano and retain her title. Rousey has fought a total of 30 seconds in her last two fights now, these are the kind of performances which will ensure the Olympic Judoka remains healthy and continue her reign as arguably one of the best champions in the world of mixed martial arts.

Along with Rousey, Jake Ellenberger and Tony Ferguson also secured impressive submission wins as they choked out their opponents, with Ellenberger securing a north-south choke on Josh Koscheck, and Ferguson with a rear naked choke on BJJ black belt Gleison Tibau.

Tim Means won his performance of the night award by landing some vicious strikes to earn a first round TKO victory over Dhiego Lima in just two minutes and 27 seconds.
