Anthony Pettis misses weight for UFC 206 interim title fight

Former UFC lightweight champion Anthony Pettis has missed weight for the interim featherweight title fight against Max Holloway at tomorrow’s UFC 206 in Toronto.

The maximum weight for a featherweight title fight is 145 pounds. Pettis came in at 148 pounds. As a result Pettis cannot win the belt with a win during tomorrow night’s fight. The fight will go on, but only Holloway, who made weight at 145, can take home the gold with a win.

Along with not being able to win the belt, Pettis will also be fined 20 percent of his purse.
