Miura has an impressive submission-oriented highlight reel even prior to debuting with ONE Championship. The Jiu Jitsu proficiency has been evident since cutting her teeth in DEEP JEWELS and Pancrase.
Ayaka Miura has a myriad of wins via scarfhold, americana, and also hybrid finishes with the scarfhold americanas. The latter technique secured the first-round victory for Miura over Rayane Bastos on May 15th.
This contest with Bastos was a catchweight bout at 128.5 pounds. Rayane Bastos suffered the first loss of her pro MMA career here.
Bastos fell short in her sophomore ONE effort. This after a successful debut via first-round guillotine choke over Sovannahry Em in December 2019. Rayane Bastos now has an overall MMA record of 4-1-1.

Miura improves to a cumulative MMA record of 11-3.
Ayaka Miura is presently ranked at number four in the official ONE Championship strawweight rankings, as of this writing.
ONE: Empower goes down on May 28th and the spotlight on the strawweights continues to shine.
The ONE Championship strawweight world title is up for grabs in the next ONE main event. Reigning belt holder Xiong Jing Nan defends her throne against the number two ranked contender in the division, Michelle Nicolini.
