Bec Rawlings moving up

A pair of Ultimate Fighter season 20 alum will fight at 125-pounds when Bec Rawlings moves up to flyweight to take on Joanne Calderwood. The will fight will take place Nov. 18 (Nov. 19 local time) at Qudos Bank Arena in Sydney, Australia.

Rawlings is riding a six-fight winning streak in her home country of Australia. Her last two fights recorded losses by way of knockout to Paige Van Zant, and then a unanimous decision to Tecia Torres in February.  With a record of 7-6, Rawlings will need to get a win in front of her home audience.

‘Rowdy’ Bec had trouble making weight for the Torres fight as she came over the strawweight limit at 117.5 pounds.  This miss likely prompted her decision to move up to flyweight.

Calderwood is also coming off back-to-back losses to Cynthia Cavillo and Jessica Andrade. With an 11-3 professional mixed martial arts record, all of Calderwood’s losses have come inside the UFC octagon.

The UFC Fight Night 121 fight card, which is headlined by the heavyweight bout between Mark Hunt and Marcin Tybura, airs live on FS1.
