Bellator 128 Results – Joe Warren Becomes First 2 Division Champ

The self-proclaimed “Baddest Man on the Planet,” Joe Warren became Bellator’s first ever two-division champion claiming the organization’s Bantamweight title Friday night at the Winstar World Casino in Thackerville, Okla.

The Bellator 128 main event featured Warren vs. champion Eduardo Dantas to solidify the 135-pound division.  Warren came into the fight as an interim champion while Dantas owned the true gold.

Warren now 12-3 held the featherweight title for 554 days from September 2, 2010 – March 9, 2012 and he won the interim bantamweight championship in March as he defeated Rafael Silva by decision at Bellator 118.

His title bout against Dantas was initially scheduled to take place at Bellator 118, but an injury forced Dantas off the card and Bellator officials turned to Silva to face Warren on two weeks’ notice for the interim title.
