Quinton “Rampage” Jackson: “King Mo Can Fat Shame Me All He Wants But I Come to Fight”

Ten days before Bellator 175 descends upon Rosemont, Illinois, Quinton “Rampage” Jackson and Muhammed “King Mo” Lawal sat down to discuss the rematch on March 31. Media were invited to participate in a conference call with the two Bellator MMA stars, along with Bellator MMA President Scott Coker.

The fight will take place at heavyweight instead of light heavyweight like it did during Bellator 120.

Lawal kept at his antics saying, “Rampage is kind of fat and that’s why he didn’t take the fight at 205 pounds.”

Jackson responded saying Lawal can, “Fat shame all he wants but I come to fight.” His game plan hasn’t changed.

“My plan is to beat his ass,” Jackson simply stated.

Jackson defeated Lawal in a unanimous decision at Bellator 120 (29-28, 29-28, 29-28). Almost two years, and several fights later, Lawal will get his rematch with Jackson after the debatable decision.

“Where was the controversy at, King Mo’s Instagram?” Jackson responded to the decision.

Lawal has recently discussed why he wanted to headline this fight.

“I’m going to show that I’ve improved from the last fight,” stated Lawal. “I’m going to show that the gap has widened. You’re going to see … I’m going to be healthy, I’m ready to go. It’s time to rumble.”

Lawal, who fights for America Top Team, is currently 8-2 since his loss to Jackson. Jackson, who has been less active since the May, 2014 fight, is on a two-fight run having defeated both Fabio Maldonado and Satoshi Ishii via decision.

Jackson reacted to the difference in the amount of fights.

“I don’t know man, we’re fighters, man. I used to fight six times a year when I was younger,” Jackson claimed. “I don’t have to fight that many times in a year. I’m happy and I’m comfortable as long as I still get that adrenaline.”

Both fighters are highly anticipating the fight next Friday. Lawal expects for a lot of people to be disappointed on the 31st.

“They know a real rivalry when they see one. They know King Mo has a big mouth and they want me to shut his mouth,” exclaimed Jackson.

Tickets are available at the All State Arena in Rosemont, Illinois. You can catch this, and all of the fights, Friday March 31st on Spike TV at 9:00 EST.
