Carroll’s Corner MMA Podcast: Gabriella “Double G” Gulfin

Sunday night, Carroll’s Corner MMA Podcast was joined by Gabriella “Double G” Gulfin. Gulfin is the Aggressive Combat Champion strawweight champion. At 3-1 in her young amateur career, Gulfin will be defending her title against LaNiesha Vinson at World’s Collide, Friday, December 16, 2016. Kerry Stellar, of In the Girls Corner, joined Kyle Carroll to co-host Sunday’s live podcast.

Gulfin after winning her ACC 115lbs title

On Sunday’s show, Stellar spoke about In the Girls Corner and the variety of interesting topics she writes on. Gulfin discussed her upcoming title defense at World’s Collide, how yoga as impacted her life, and about her vegan lifestyle. Gulfin informed us on the show that she has plans of going professional within the 2017 calendar year.

Gulfin, a New York City native, trains out of Class 1 MMA and Chute Boxe USA. She trains under Luis Azeredo and UFC middleweight Oluwale Bamgbose. At 3-1 in her amateur career, all three of her victories have come via submission.

Gulin keeps a high-paced fight that wears her opponents down as she enters the later rounds. Her latest victory comes over a very game and tough opponent, Destiny Quinones of Kai Next Level MMA. A victory over Vinson will improve her record to 4-1, and remain the Triton Fights strawweight title.

While speaking on the show with Gulfin, host Kyle Carroll asked her if she would be interested in battling the long-time 115-pound champion, and current Atom weight (105lbs.) champion, Jillian DeCoursey. Gulfin welcomed all challenges with open arms but made it clear she’s focused on the task at hand.
