Cody Garbrandt gets title shot against Cruz at UFC 207

UFC 207 from the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas now has a bantamweight title co-main event when Dominick Cruz defends against Cody Garbrandt on December 30.

The last UFC fight card of the calendar year is headlined by the return of Ronda Rousey as she seeks to regain her bantamweight title bout against Amanda Nunes.

Garbrandt is 10-0 as a professional mixed martial artist with nine of those wins coming by way of knockout or technical knockout.  In August, “No Love” scored his fifth straight UFC win with a 48 second TKO over Takeya Mizugaki.

The champion, Cruz, holds a 21-1 record with his own blemish being a 2007 loss to Urijah Faber.  Since then Cruz has been unstoppable, even bouncing back from almost three years of inactivity due to injury which resulted in him being stripped of the title, to earn another title shot, and then defeating the champion in T.J. Dillashaw and later defend against Faber.

Will this fight with Cruz be too soon for the unstoppable Garbrandt, or will “No Love” put an end to the dominant reign of “The Dominator”?
