Daniel Rodriguez dominates Mike Perry to a unanimous decision

The UFC continues to roll along with UFC Vegas 23 on Saturday afternoon, live from the UFC Apex in Las Vegas, Nevada. The event, also known as UFC on ABC 2, is set to kick off at 11:30 a.m. ET on April 10 before heading to ESPN+ at noon. The main card opened with Daniel Rodriguez beating Mike Perry via decision.

In the night’s main event, Kevin Holland takes a short notice fight and a quick turnaround since his loss to Derek Brunson last month. Holland will meet Marvin Vettori in a middleweight clash.

In a welterweight matchup, “Platinum” Mike Perry and Daniel “D-Rod” Rodriguez are set to kick off the main card. With both fighters coming off a loss in their previous bouts, this bout is expected to be a war as both fighters yearn to get back in the win column.

Perry, entering the UFC Octagon for the fifteenth time this evening, is coming off a loss to Tim Means in his last outing. Self admittedly having minimal of his typical training necessities, Perry went out for a Hail Mary against “The Dirty Bird” Tim means and came up short. With time to right his wrongs, “Platinum” Mike Perry has seemingly honed his intensity to harness his eccentricity for the best of his career.

Daniel Rodriguez was on a 9 fight winning streak until his last outing, dropping a decision to Nicholas Dalby. Not used to being on the short end of the stick, Rodriguez is eager to snatch a victory over Perry to catapult him into the welterweight mix.
