Former NBA Player Loses Kickboxing Bout via Doctor Stoppage – VIDEO

Former NBA center Darko Milicic made his kickboxing debut Thursday night in Serbia. The 7-footer, who was the second overall draft pick in 2003, lost to Radovan Radojcic in the second round of their exhibition fight via doctor’s stoppage after suffering a cut on his left leg.

“The next time, it will be better,” Milicic said [translated by The Detroit News]. “I’m invincible.”

Milicic, 29, last played in the NBA two seasons ago with the Boston Celtics.  Milicic played for six teams through his NBA career which began in 2003 including the Detroit Pistons, Orlando Magic, Memphis Grizzlies, New York Knicks, Minnesota Timberwolves, and lastly the Celtics.

This was the Serbian’s first kickboxing bout which unfortunately did not go his way.
