UFC champ Germaine de Randamie returns to work as police officer tomorrow

Newly crowned UFC women’s featherweight champion Germaine de Randamie will return to work as a police officer in The Netherlands tomorrow.

After defeating Holly Holm in the main event at UFC 208 in Brookly, New York just five days ago, de Randamie held has had little time to herself.  A special UFC press conference was held today where media had their first opportunity to speak with de Randamie since the win.

De Randamie addressed issues such as a pending hand surgery that may or may not happen, issuing a rematch to Holly Holm, possible fight with Cris ‘Cyborg’ Justino, and more.

The first women’s UFC 145 lb., champ states that she will return back to work as a police officer tomorrow back in her native country.

When questions kept popping up about the injury to her hand, de Randamie stated “I need my hand for my job as well.”

The 5’9 “Iron Lady” started her martial arts career at the age of 15. In a short amount of time Germaine became a talented Muay Thai. Her Muay Thai record is an outstanding 37-0 with 14 KOs.

As a Muay Thai fighter, de Randamie racked up multiple titles. She holds three European Muay Thai titles and 10 Muay Thai titles in three different weight classes in seven different organizations.

With the win over Holm, de Randamie improves her professional MMA career to 7-3.
