Holly Holm arm update: Bone plated, perfectly aligned

Holly Holm, the 18-time world champion boxer in three separate weight classes and current Legacy Fighting Championships Women’s Bantamweight Champion spoke to MyMMANews earlier today to give us an update on her arm.

Holm, who suffered the break while capturing the organization’s inaugural title April 4, said “(the arm’s) doing great! Got the bone plated and it’s perfectly aligned and healing well!”

Holm faced Juliana Werner for the inaugural title and broke her arm in the first round yet still went on to win the bout and the strap via TKO in the fifth round due to a head kick and punches. If that does not tell you something about the tremendous amount of heart this woman has, I don’t know what will.

The undefeated Holm (7-0) recently was recently in discussion with the UFC in regard to her coming into the promotion. UFC brass and Holm’s management could not come to an agreement. “The Preacher’s Daughter” is seen as a possible challenger for UFC women’s bantamweight champion Ronda Rousey.  If Rousey and Holm one day meet inside the UFC octagon it could be one of the biggest fights in women’s mixed martial arts history.
