Jordan Griffin (8-4) of Roufusports in Milwaukee announced Monday February 21, 2015, the signing of his 145-pound Dakota Fighting Championships title bout against Cameron Ramberg (10-2). Griffin will enter the cage on April 18, 2015, for his first scheduled 5-round bout.

Griffin plans to get back to his winning ways after his seven fight win streak was snapped in his RFA (Resurrection Fighting Alliance) debut by a first round submission.

Since suffering his debut loss at RFA, The young athlete has evaluated his entire game. He recognized the areas in his craft that needed adjustments and tuning. These areas included his training progression leading up to the fight, as well the technique executed inside the cage.

While training for the last six months, Griffin has used the resources afforded to him by training at Roufusport. He has had the opportunity to spar with UFC lightweight champion, Anthony “Showtime” Pettis, whom is in camp as well to defend his crown.

Griffin has the skills and determination to deliver another seven fight winning streak. The maturing professional fighter out of Roufusport is taking stricter control of his weight cut. Adding private sessions with Askren Wrestling Academy coach Josh Wagner and focusing on his nutrition. His private sessions are in addition to his regular training regimen of wrestling with “Funky” Ben Askren, Brazilian Jiu Jitsu with 3rd degree black belt Daniel Wanderley, and his stand-up with head coach Jeff “Duke” Roufus.

“I definitely have the resources to get back on another winning streak.” Jordan Griffin said. Griffin is currently attending Milwaukee Area Technical College, pursuing an associate degree in the dietetic technician program. While enrolled at school, he manages to squeeze three workouts a day to control his weight and absorb as much technique each day in pursuit of bettering himself.

“Mentally I’m in a good spot. I’m loving my life right now.” Griffin said, as he officially set short and long term goals within the sport. “I just want to win these fights against notable opponents and get recognition for it.”

This one fight contract with Dakota FC is for the featherweight title. This 145-pounder is taking each fight as they come to him and plans to make the best of this opportunity. He is eager to raise his stock by taking on the best competition placed across from him inside the cage.

“I would definitely like another fight against Dan Moret in the RFA.” Griffin mentioned about his last loss. “Winner gets a title shot maybe? That be cool.” The Roufusport featherweight said. Griffin knows his ground game has improved, but enjoys the flow of a stand-up battle. “I want a stand up war though and RFA (Resurrection Fighting Alliance) 155 champ likes to throw down, so I would jump at that opportunity. It’s all about winning though and winning impressively ya know?”

Griffin expressed his distaste for fighters that lie on top and don’t deliver for the fans. “I like to throw hands and I hate guys who just lay on top of you and try to drag out the win. I like to make them pay! I’m definitely well rounded enough to turn the tables now.” Griffin said, referring to his last bout against Dan Moret.

Expect this Roufusport featherweight to put together an exciting fight for the fans in North Dakota. He intends on delivering a high volume of strikes at his opponent. Griffin is an exciting, athletic warrior with tremendous speed. “I’m trying to throw hands standing up, on the ground, or upside down!” Griffin said, speaking to his foe.  “Let’s go!”
