Kimbo Slice signs with Bellator MMA

He’s back………………….

The YouTube sensation known as “Kimbo Slice,” Kevin Ferguson is back in MMA.  The knockout sensation and backyard brawler earned his way on to the Ultimate Fighter reality series but despite not winning still earned his shot into the UFC.

Slice has draw, he moves the needle as UFC President Dana White likes to say.  People like to watch him fight.

His only UFC win came over Houston Alexander at the TUF 10 finale.  His last MMA fight was inside the UFC octagon against Matt Mitrione at UFC 113.

Ferguson (4-2), turns 41 in February and will return to American Top Team to train for his next next fight.  After leaving MMA Slice went 7-0 as a professional boxer.

Following a successful boxing debut in 2011, knocking out James Wade in 17 seconds, Slice stayed undefeated for his next six bouts, scoring five knockouts and one unanimous decision victory.

Before entering the UFC, Slice has MMA wins over Tank Abbott, Bo Cantrell and James Thompson in Elite XC.

The star lost a lot of his appeal and draw factor when he was knocked out by a last minute replacement in Seth Petruzelli.  Slice was originally slated to fight Ken Shamrock.

No word on how many fights Slice has signed to with Bellator or when he will compete as of yet.
