Muhammed “King Mo” Lawal (14-4) is bulking up to battle one of the top heavyweights at Bellator 134, former UFC contender Cheick Kongo. King Mo has won his last two fights under Bellator, defeating Dustin Jacoby and Joe Vedepo, both via TKO from strikes.

This will be King Mo’s 10th fight in Bellator, and he currently has a 6-3 record under the promotion. Kongo (22-9) has also won his last two fights in Bellator, defeating Eric Smith via TKO from strikes, and Lavar Johnson by rear naked choke.

Since his departure from the UFC, Kongo has gone 4-1 in Bellator, with his only loss coming to Bellator heavyweight champion Vitaly Minakov. Kongo spent nearly seven years with the UFC before cutting ties with the top promoter, joning the ranks of Bellator and helping bolster their growing roster.

Light heavyweight champion Emanuel Newton (25-7) will also defend his title against tournament winner Liam McGeary (9-0). A battle of undefeated fighters will also meet as Michael Page (7-0) and Curtis Millender (7-0) in a welterweight clash. Heavyweight James Thompson will be competing as well against an opponent to be announced.

Bellator 134 will take place on February 27 in Uncasville, Connecticut at the Mohegan Sun Arena.
