Mark Cherico discusses getting call for Tuesday Night Contender Series

Imagine being in the kitchen with cookware, making your amazing fried chicken and mac n’ cheese platter for your family while on the phone with your wife. Seems like a normal afternoon/evening. Put a life changing twist into the mix.  Imagine getting a text from your manager to compete at The Ultimate Fighter house in front of UFC President, Dana White…on a few weeks notice. Quite the turn of events.

However, that didn’t stop east coast standout, Mark Cherico from immediately jumping at the offer, skipping he family dinner, and jumping straight into taking the steps needed to show his talents on August 22nd.

Pittsburgh’s own, Cherico ‘The Pride of Bloomfield’ will the opportunity of a lifetime as he faces Mike Santiago on Dana Whites Contender Series, live on UFC Fight Pass for what he’s aspired for his whole career, a UFC contract.

Cherico is currently the number one ranked lightweight in the state of Pennsylvania according to Tapology, and he is the owner of Mark Cherico’s Martial Arts and Fitness Center.
