Mickey Gall vs Randy Brown added to UFC 217 at Madison Square Garden

Mickey Gall will return to the octagon for the first time since his December 2016 submission win over Sage Northcutt, when he takes on Randy Brown, November 4 in New York.

Brown (9-2), a former Ring of Combat champion, may pose the biggest challenge to Gall’s young yet perfect professional mixed martial arts career. Eight of Brown’s career wins have come by way of stoppage.  He is coming off a unanimous decision loss to Belal Muhammad at UFC 208 in February.  Brown has only been finished once, a rear-naked choke submission loss to Michael Graves in April 2016.

One thing Brown will have to look out for against Gall is that choke.  Gall, a brown belt in Jiu-Jitsu under David Adiv of Gracie New Jersey has finished all four of his pro MMA fights by way of rear-naked choke.

Both fighters earned UFC contracts after wins on Dana White’s Lookin’ For a Fight which airs on YouTube.

Thus far the UFC 217 fight card looks like:

Michael Bisping (c) vs. Georges St-Pierre
Cody Garbrandt (c) vs. TJ Dillashaw
Joanna Jędrzejczyk (c) vs. Rose Namajunas
Aiemann Zahabi vs. Ricardo Ramos
Johny Hendricks vs. Paulo Borrachinha
Oleksiy Oliynyk vs. Curtis Blaydes
Gadzhimurad Antigulov vs. Ion Cuțelaba
Corey Anderson vs. Patrick Cummins
Stephen Thompson vs. Jorge Masvidal
