Former professional mixed martial artist Ashe Bowman founded the Legends of MMA Hall of Fame in 2013. During that year 14 iconic fighters/athletes/coaches and MMA personalities were inducted such as Randy Couture, Royce Gracie, and Frank Shamrock.

The Legends of MMA Hall of Fame celebrates and honors the athletes that have made extraordinary contributions to the sport, both inside and outside the cage. A board of voters and 20 top sports writers, promoters, fighters and MMA personalities to help vote on nominations.

On Nov. 16, 2014, five more were inducted to include Art Davie, “Big” John McCarthy, Pat Miletich, Rickson Gracie, and Fedor Emelianenko. Joining those legends was one of the first and largest collectors of mixed martial arts collectibles, autographs and memorabilia on the planet, MMA Signatures founder, A.J. Hiller.20141222_162457

“Mr. Hiller, on behalf of MMA Signatures was bestowed and honorary induction in the hall for his incredible support of the MMA industry and perpetual work that strives to evolve the sports of MMA to higher level,” Bowman said.

Hiller and his company MMA Signatures, based in East Stroudsburg, Pa., not only sell thousands of items per year but they also help fighters with sponsorships and training opportunities that help put money back into their pocket.

“We found out last year about the Hall of Fame recognition. After we donated some items to the Hall, and they found out how we are in business to give back to the fighters, they immediately wanted us to be a part of the Legends of MMA Hall of Fame,” Hiller said.

“To be part of such an elite organization, is without a doubt the greatest accomplishment we could ever ask for or be a part of,” Hiller said. “One of the things the MMA Legends Hall of Fame does, is not only recognize the fighters, but also recognized the people who dedicate their lives to giving back to MMA; for example, promoters, referees, etc.”

Hiller states that in 2014 alone MMA Signatures sponsored more than 40 UFC fighters and another 50 in smaller promotions, an example of how his family run business gives back to the sport that provides for him.20141222_160222

“The hall induction will change our business as this is something we can share with the MMA community and show how hard work and dedication pays off. We are hoping it increases our business by being recognized as the most reputable and largest MMA memorabilia company in the world,” Hiller said.

With the induction comes gifts of course.

20141222_160302“Each inductee receives an official MMA HOF championship ring produced in 10k white gold and surround by 14 genuine black diamonds/rubies valued at $2,500 each. They also receive a serial numbered induction certificate and crystal award. Every HOF inductee has the opportunity for licensed merchandise and other ventures,” Bowman said.

When asked if he will wear the ring, Hiller said, “The ring will sit on our desk as a reminder of how far we have come and will act as motivation to keep doing what we are doing and that hard work does pay off. The ring is sized to my finger, so don’t be surprised to see it on every once in a while.”20141222_160246

“MMA Signatures is a family business and I give all the credit to my wife and kids. Without their help and support, MMA Signatures wouldn’t be able to accomplish this. It is a true honor.”
