At about a month into the collegiate wrestling season, the top teams in the country continue to separate themselves from the rest of the pack.

Oklahoma State Cowboys sit at the No. 1 ranked spot in the country. The Cowboys demolished the No. 10 ranked Minnesota Golden Gophers Sunday, 34-3.

No. 2 ranked Iowa drummed Purdue 34-3 and the University of Wyoming edged out the Iowa State Cyclones 19-15 in a Big 12 dual.

Missouri is ranked No. 3 in the nation followed by No. 4 Penn State (2-0) and No. 5 Ohio State (3-0) to round out the Top-5 teams.

Big 10

The Big Ten has three teams in the Top-5 and eight teams ranked in the Top-13.

Nebraska (2-0), Michigan (3-0) and Minnesota (1-1) find themselves inside the Top-ten as well. Illinois (0-0) and Rutgers (5-1) are ranked 11th and 13th in the nation. The Big Ten Conference has the most ranked teams in the nation with eight teams in the top-25.

Big 12

The Big 12 has the second most with four teams, followed by the Pac-12, ACC and MAC with three teams each, and the EIWA and SoCon each with two teams.

Wyoming moved into the No. 25 spot after defeating the Cyclones in a conference tough dual. Each team winning five matches, bonus points are what made the difference for the Cowboys in Laramie, Wyoming. A major decision by Cody Vigoren at 197-pounds and a fall by junior Bryce Meredith over Gabe Moreno at 141-pounds helped lift the Cowboys over their Big 12 foe.

The Oklahoma State Cowboys thumped the Golden Gophers 34-3 in a non-conference matchup. It was the Cowboys first win of the season against a ranked opponent. OSU claimed nine of the ten bouts against the team clearly missing their former legend coach, J Robinson.

No. 2 Brett Pfarr of UM earned a 7-2 decision victory over No. 6 Preston Weigel of OSU at 197-pounds. No. 1 Dean Heil, No. 4 Chandler Rogers, No. 6 Kaid Brock, and No. 10 Nick Piccininni, all earned bonus points for the No. 1 ranked team in the country.

No. 8 Cornell defeated No. 13 Rutgers and Hofstra at Madison Square Garden to sweep the Grapple at the Garden over the weekend. Cornell pounded on Hofstra 39-0, winning all ten matches in the dual. No. 1 Gabe Dean joined No. 5 Brian Realbuto and No. 20 Brandon Womack in earning a fall/ technical fall over their opponents. Cornell went on to beat up Rutgers 28-10, as they won seven of the ten matches.
