Nick Browne discusses winning the LFA lightweight championship

Nick Browne wants to be recognized as one of the top lightweights in the world.

Over the summer, Browne was asked to come on Dana White’s Contender Series, but he couldn’t accept the offer due to an injury. While he didn’t get the chance to earn a big time fighting contract a few months ago, he’s now he’s knocking on the door of getting that opportunity.

On Friday, at LFA 97, Browne won the LFA lightweight champion by defeating Arthur Estrazulas by unanimous decision. The fight was a tough, hard fought win for Browne as him and Estrazulas went back-forth for 25 minutes.

Now that Browne is at the top of the food chain in LFA he know hopes to get the phone call from either the UFC or Bellator. LFA has had a long history of producing high caliber talent for both promotions as the list of notable LFA alumni is impressive. Browne now hopes he’ll go down as one of the greats to come out of the promotion.

If Browne does not get signed, then he will make a title defense within LFA and continue to try and get his shot.

Browne spoke to MyMMANews about capturing the LFA lightweight title and what his future has in store. You can watch the full interview in the video above.
