Nick Maximov vs. Andre Petroski Set For May

With both men winning their first two bouts in the UFC, Nick Maximov and Andre Petroski are set to make their third walks to the octagon.

The two are scheduled to face off on May 14th, on a fight night that has yet to nail down a time, place, or venue.

We last saw Maximov at UFC Fight Night: Hermansson vs. Strickland where he defeated Punahele Soriano via split decision. With the win, he has increased his record to 8-0.

Nick Maximov, who trains with the Diaz brothers, is a high-level grappler who made his way to the UFC via Dana White’s Contender Series with a decision win over Oscar Cota. His opponent, however, has been on a similar path and holds a fantastic grappling skillset as well.

At 7-1, Petroski holds four submission victories as a professional. In his most recent walk to the octagon, he submitted Yaozong Hu via arm-triangle choke. Though he did not make his way to the UFC by the Contender Series, Petroski obtained a contract through the Ultimate Fighter Season 29

The two are set for a three-round Middleweight bout on a card that has yet to fully develop. The UFC Fight Night on May 14th will also include:

Women’s Flyweight: Miesha Tate vs. Lauren Murphy

Women’s Flyweight: Viviane Araujo vs. Andrea Lee

Lightweight: Frank Camacho vs. Manuel Torres

Featherweight: Jamall Emmers vs. Daniel Pineda

Women’s Strawweight: Virna Jandiroba vs. Angela Hill
