Olympic Weightlifter Szymon Kolecki wins MMA debut with 33 second TKO

2008 Olympic 94kg weightlifting Gold medalist, Szymon Kolecki, won his Mixed Martial Arts debut with a Technical Knockout (TKO) over his opponent in 33 seconds.

Kolecki defeated Dariusz Kazimierczuk, March 4 at PLMMA 72 in Poland.

Kolecki is a five-time European Champion in weightlifting and two-time Olympic Medalist who served as President of Poland’s National Weightlifting Federation. He resigned after doping scandals and positive tests that kept several prominent Polish weightlifters out of competition at the Rio Olympics.

His next MMA fight has already been announced for May 20 against Wojciech Balejko.
