PFL Confident Kayla Harrison Remains With Them

Kayla Harrison was made an offer from the PFL that has them feeling confident she will stay with them.

That’s according to a recent interview Insider did with PFL founder and chairman, Don Davis who said as much. Granted, fans have been hearing this for a while now, and seems the likeliest of outcomes since the PFL is where Harrison has grown as a mixed martial artist.

In the interview, Davis said, “ We’ve made a great offer to Kayla, I’m confident she’ll stay with us. I’m positive and confident she’ll make the decision to stay with us, but the ball is in her court. It’s her decision to make.”

Harrison expressed frustration with the talks not so long ago and the hardcore fanbase seems to think the best matches in the sport for her, lie with Bellator MMA. If “the ball is in her court,” as Davis says it might be hard to step away from the promotion where she has already won two championships and a couple of million dollars. While she has shown she wants to face the best competition in the sport she is also a mother now and has to make career choices that would best fit her and her family’s financial future.

Bellator MMA President, Scott Coker told the media this past weekend after Bellator 275, “I think it’s an ongoing dialogue between my guys and her camp.”

Bellator 275 had a co-main event where Sinead Kavanagh earned another shot at Champion, Cris Cyborg, and the announcement was made while Kavanagh was being carried out of the cage from a knee injury sustained during her fight against Leah McCourt. Wouldn’t it be something if Harrison came in and disrupted the women’s featherweight rankings over at Bellator?

So it could be the matter of Harrison weighing all of her options for her fighting future, but fans should remember, it is her future so she’ll let us know when she’s ready.
