Ronda Rousey’s “My Fight/Your Fight” makes New York Times best sellers list

UFC women’s bantamweight champion, Ronda Rousey’s autobiography entitled “My Fight/Your Fight” has officially made it to the New York Times best sellers list.

Rousey thanked her fans with this message via Facebook:

The book is currently ranks #17 out of 20 on the list. It is autobiographical, and it discusses Rousey’s struggles before her rise to fame. In the book, she discusses her struggle to earn a living wage and spending too much time partying. This, of course, was turned around when she started to take mixed martial arts seriously.

Despite selling over 10,000 copies in the first week of its release the book did not make the list right off the bat.  Apparently the list is not comprised solely on sales figures.

The news was enough for Regan Arts — the publishing company responsible for releasing Ronda’s book — to do some research and call out the Times for its “shocking” decision to snub the UFC women’s bantamweight champion.

Rousey’s book sold better than 10 books on the list, and strangely, “Bill O’Reilly’s Legends & Lies” placed No. 6 on the list below “The Road to Character” by the Times’ own David Brooks, even though O’Reilly sold 4,000 more books than Brooks did.

Now Rousey joins the likes of Forrest Griffin as the only two UFC fighters to have a book which appeared on the best sellers list.
