Sean Santella: “If I Win This Next One, the UFC Can’t Deny Me”

MyMMANews.com caught up with the long-reigning former CFFC flyweight champion Sean Santella while training at Chamber MMA in East Stroudsburg, Pa.

“Shorty Rock” as Santella is often known as, told us that if he wins his upcoming World Cagefighting Championships (WCC) fight on November 15 there is no way the UFC can deny him from entering the mix of their 125-pound division.

“I never turn down a fight,” Santella said.  “I fought Aljamain (Sterling) at 135, my first fight there  I thought I did a lot for the organization,” the former champion said of his time with CFFC.

Santella said both he and his coaches made a few phone calls when they found the WCC fight.

We also caught up with the hard-hitting Rex Harris who is coming off a devastating knockout win over Lamont Lister earlier this year.  What an absolutely dominant and destructive victory for Harris.  This guy is a monster for anyone in his division.

Harris will headline the WCC’s November 8th card in Allentown, Pa and spoke with MyMMANews.com about the hardships of finding an opponent who is willing to stand and trade with him.
