Shamir Peshewa

Shamir Peshewa Added to Invicta FC 45

Shamir Peshewa will be facing Ramona Pascual at Invicta FC 45 in a last-minute update to the card on Invicta FC’s website. Peshewa, who is currently 2-0 and took a hiatus from MMA to build her business Marvel My Fitness just before the COVID-19 pandemic will be fighting at a catchweight of 150 pounds due to the short notice.

Peshewa has a passion for trying a lot of things from ring announcing and commentary but has always had a focus on competing in combat sports. When she was on The Coast-2-Coast Combat Hour podcast in July to promote her business, she said she was ready to return to competition now that it could be self-sustained.

In the interview, she said she had asked a promoter for, “Any kickboxing or muay thai like pro kickboxing or muay thai opportunities or even boxing opportunities.” She was looking to get something going toward the end of 2021 and it looks like her search finally paid off.

“I’m just ready,” Peshewa said back in July. “I don’t care if it’s MMA, I don’t care what it is. Like let’s go, I’m just, I’m ready to do it. If they can’t find me, somebody, to fight, I’ll go grapple but I’m doing something.”

It looks like Invicta FC found someone for her. Just before the news broke, Peshewa was preparing to enter a grappling tournament for February 26, previously she competed at Valor Fights and last fought in 2019. Anyone that follows her or her business on social media knows she has never been out of shape or unprepared to get back to competition.

Invicta FC 45 will be streaming on YouTube and MyMMANews, this Wednesday, January 12 at 8 P.M. ET/ 5 P.M. PT.
