USADA and UFC Make New Anti-Doping Policy Public

As announced in early June, as part of UFC’s Athlete Marketing and Development Program, the United States Anti-Doping Agency (USADA) will serve as the independent third-party administrator of UFC’s year-round Anti-Doping Policy beginning on July 1, 2015.

USADA is universally recognized as the premier anti-doping agency, whose sole mission is to protect the rights of clean athletes and to preserve the integrity of competition. USADA will independently administer all areas of the UFC Anti-Doping Policy, including comprehensive education, testing, science and research, and results management. All of the UFC Anti-Doping Policies have been modeled after the World Anti-Doping Code, and are designed to protect athlete health and safety by maximizing the deterrence and detection of dangerous performance-enhancing drugs in sport.

In its commitment to provide a transparent and accessible Anti-Doping Policy, earlier today UFC distributed all policy documents directly to UFC athletes and, with USADA, has made them publicly available online. USADA and UFC will continue to help educate athletes on the new policy and ensure that all athletes have a clear understanding of the requirements and guidelines.
