Life in Prison a Possibility for War Machine – New Charges Added

Former UFC and Bellator fighter, Jon Koppenhaver now legally known as ‘War Machine’ faces even more charges to the already existing charges stemming from the Aug. 8, attack on former girlfriend and adult filmstar Christy Mack and a male victim, Corey Thomas.

According to a report in the Las Vegas Review-Journal, prosecutors added several new charges against War Machine that date back to May of 2014.

He faced nine charges in relation to the attack in August but is not looking at a total of 32 charges, including attempted murder, sexual assault, battery, coercion, preventing or dissuading a witness or victim from reporting a crime, and first-degree kidnapping resulting in substantial bodily harm, according to the Review-Journal.

Today War Machine arrived in court for the first time since capture in California following a week long manhunt. Chief Deputy District Attorney Jacqueline Bluth revealed during the proceedings that Mack has undergone several surgeries since the attack and will likely need more procedures as she faces a “long haul” to recover.

He is currently being held without bail, with his next court appearance scheduled for Oct. 17.
