WSOF 13 Results, Moraes taps Bollinger & Fastest WSOF KO Recorded

World Series of Fighting 13 is live at the Sands Bethlehem Event Center in Bethlehem, Pa.

In the main event, featherweight champion Marlon Moraes defeated Cody Bollinger, who as of two and a half weeks ago did not have a fight scheduled and was practically begging WSOF President Ray Sefo for a worthy opponent.  When challenger Josh Hill withdrew, Bollinger seized the opportunity and took the call.

The fight was originally scheduled for a 140-pound catchweight but Bollinger had trouble making weight and the fight is now at a 147 pound-non-title catch weight.

Bollinger tapped to a rear naked choke from Moraes at 1:35 in Round 2.

In the co-main event, Renzo Gracie product Ozzy Dugulubgov defeated Keon Caldwell in a welterweight showdown with a brutal knockout.  Referee Bill Bookwalter saw Caldwell’s eyes roll back and the fight was immediately stopped.

The card was jam packed with fighters from the immediate tri-state area to include Pennsylvania, New Jersey and New York.

On the undercard, Nick Browne records the record for fastest KO in WSOF history as he knocked out Sidney Outlaw in just 31 seconds into the first round.

Frankie Perez and Tom Marecllino kicked off the main card on NBC Sports.  Perez who trains with former UFC light weight champion Frankie Edgar, who was in his corner, used the same footwork Edgar uses inside the octagon.  The crowd was on their feet as the two went toe-to-toe.  The fight would go the distance with Perez pulling off the unanimous decision victory.
