19-year old Polina Kobzeva dies while training for fight
Russian football (soccer in America) player Polina Kobzeva died during a mixed martial arts training session according to a report from R-Sport, referring to the Russian Football Union.
According to the publication, the athlete came to the gym after a two-month break, but during the training, her heart collapsed.
The message about Kobzeva’s death was also published on the official page of the Podolchanka team on the social network VKontakte.
“This afternoon our team suffered great grief – Polina Kobzeva died, her heart collapsed,” the club’s press service said in the statement.
Kobzeva has an amateur mixed martial arts record of 2-1 and was scheduled to compete on September 5 against Lyubomira Galkina at Roscongress Vladivostok Combat Night.
