Official Result: Sadibou Sy def. Shane Mitchell via KO (spinning wheel kick) at 1:35 of round three
The two go at it on the feet throughout the first five minutes, each man having success with their striking. They both exchange with punches that connect midway through the round, and Sy comes very close to landing a spinning wheel kick later in it.
Sy begins to take the fight over about two minutes into the second, where he hurts Mitchell after unloading on a combination. He controls the center from here, nearly landing another spinning wheel kick but just coming short, and wins the clinch exchanges.

It’s quite remarkable what Sadibou Sy’s been able to do in his career.
After a 8-5-2 start to his career, Sy would then defeat former M-1 Challenge welterweight champion Alexey Kunchenko (UD) at PFL 5 in 2021. He’d then lose to former PFL welterweight champion Magomed Magomedkerimov (UD) later that year in August, and hasn’t lost since.
Sy went on to go 4-0 in 2022, claiming the PFL welterweight championship himself, all four victories coming via decision. He has since gone 2-0 thus far into 2023 with two knockouts. At 36 years of age, what an incredible career resurgence.
