A Texas Two Step atop LFA 78
After having been postponed, LFA 78 has been rebooked with a change of location.
Now set for November 15th in Belton, Texas, LFA 78 will take place at the Bell County Expo Center. Two high stakes bouts are at the top of the card. In the main event, a bantamweight showdown between contenders, as Texan, Adrian Yanez takes on Kyle “The Hoosier” Estrada. Top prospects in the women’s flyweight division collide as “All Hail” Hailey Cowan tangles with California’s, Lisa Mauldin in the nights co-main event, a contest that has been rebooked from LFA 73.
Quote from LFA .com, “I am excited to bring LFA back to the Centroplex of Texas at LFA 78,” stated Soares. “Adrian Yanez and Kyle Estrada are dynamic bantamweights that are always looking for the knockout, while Hailey Cowan and Lisa Mauldin are two of the most promising fighters in women’s MMA. These four high-powered prospects all return to the LFA Octagon at the Bell County Expo Center on Friday, November 15th.”
Yanez is a Houston native whose won four of his last five fights, three of which have come by knockout. Estrada, a native of Indiana, training in southern California and has three wins by knockout; including stopping Ricky Furar with leg kicks at LFA 69.
As mentioned, this fight has an extra ingredient of intrigue after they were booked to throw-down this past August. Cowan came to MMA with a unique background, a two-time National Collegiate Acrobatics & Tumbling Association (NCATA) All-American at Baylor University. Mauldin is once again the road team looking to play spoiler, as was the case when she defeated Kaytlin Neil, by decision, in her home state of Utah.
