Aaron Jeffery discusses his first career Bellator win
Aaron Jeffery wasted no time making an impression on his new promotion.
Recently at Bellator 282, Jeffery made his first walk to the Bellator cage when he took on Fabio Aguiar in a middleweight matchup.
In the opening round both fighters were fighting for position in the clinch before Jeffery was eventually able to secure a takedown. Once Jeffery got Aguiar to the canvas, he went right to work and locked in a choke that appeared deep before he eventually lost the position.
Then in the second round, the two would again spend a lot of time in the clinch until Jeffery started to slowly work in some dirty boxing which lead to a huge opening.
Towards the end of the round, Jeffery would land a big elbow and followed up with knees, punches and elbows before Aguiar would fall to the ground covering up. Moments later the fight was waved off and Jeffery would celebrate his first win inside of the Bellator cage.
Before the fight, Jeffery spoke with MyMMANews in an interview and discussed his excitement to finally be in a big promotion and getting to call one of the major fight promotions his home.
Now after the fight, Jeffery once again spoke with MyMMANews and this time he discussed the thrill of earning his first Bellator win.
