Abdisalam Kubanychbek receives hero’s welcome after triumphant BRAVE CF 77 win

Earlier this month at the Khalifa Sports City Arena in the Kingdom of Bahrain, Kubanychbek Abdisalam Uulu put on a performance for the ages against Lucas Martins. He defeated him in the first round of their title collision, cementing his position as the undisputed BRAVE CF lightweight champion.

Back in February, Kubanychbek returned home to Kyrgyzstan after his phenomenal win of the Lightweight title at BRAVE CF 69 and received the warmest welcome. This time, after his successful win at BRAVE CF 77, Kubanychbek received the most cordial reception. As he came through the arrival doors at the airport, he was greeted by a parade of his friends, family and fans who were all applauding him as the celebrations began. They proceeded to serenade the champion before donning him with traditional attire, as those within his circle embraced him.

Kubanychbek came full circle in Kyrgyzstan as it was in Bishkek where he made his promotional debut at BRAVE CF 32 in December 2019. It’s been a long road to get to this point, but nobody can deny the impact he’s been able to have in the four-year run he’s had with the promotion.

Now, the focus will shift to what’s next. There are plenty of exciting contenders waiting for him at 155 pounds and at the age of 29, it certainly feels as if there’s a long road ahead for him in the sport.

Kyrgyzstan has produced some fantastic talents within the combat sports realm and for Kubanychbek Abdisalam Uulu, this was the latest step on the road to mixed martial arts immortality.
