Abdulmanap Nurmagomedov Passes Away at 57 Due To COVID-19 Complications
Father of UFC lightweight champion, Abdulmanap Nurmagomedov, has passed away due to complications from COVID-19. Mr. Nurmagomedov’s passing was announced by Chechen Republic’a Ramzan Kadyrov.
Abdulmanap Nurmagomedov is survived by Khabib, Magomed, the oldest, and their sister, Amina. Abdulmanap was 57 years old. In addition to his children, Abdulmanap was very close to his entire family and lived with his siblings and their kids together as one big family.
Khabib’s father was a trainer to his son and more importantly a father.
Abdulmanap Nurmagomedov Battling COVID
As mentioned earlier, Mr. Nurmagomedov passed away due to complications due to the COVID-19 virus. According to reports, Abdulmanap suffered a heart attack from the virus complications and had to have emergency bypass surgery.
Abdulmanap Nurmagomedov as twice placed into a medically induced coma to help recovery. Reports came out earlier this year that he was in serious condition but then was reported to be serious but stable.
Khabib and family have yet to comment on the passing of their father.

The coronavirus pandemic shut down the entirety of sports, including the UFC for a brief period. The pandemic caused worldwide panic as entire countries shut down completely, bringing not only sports, but the global economy to a grinding halt.
Places are beginning to open back up. But in the United States, cases are rising instead of falling due to ignoring of the social distancing rules in place. Now the country is at threat of another shutdown as states like Louisiana have instituted mandatory masks in public again.
