Adam Vigil: “Fans Can Expect Me To Get In There And Get Violent”

Fury FC and LFA have been springboards for many UFC fighters in their careers. With the Fury FC middleweight gold up for grabs at Fury FC 94, Adam Vigil is hoping to make the best of the situation and catapult his career to the next level. With wins in both major organizations and a current five-fight winning streak, gold for Vigil could mean much more than just another championship.

Finding MMA and Early Career

Not only did MMA serve as a bridge from a former wrestling career like a vast majority of fighters, but MMA also saved Vigil’s life. “I started off wrestling and through my journey MMA saved my life. I was getting into trouble and an addict. After awhile I got sober, gave my life to God, and dedicated to MMA and being the best in the world,” Vigil told MYMMANEWS. At the age of 24, Vigil made his amateur debut, beginning his career with three first-round finishes.

“I have to thank God first and foremost helping me develop to become the best fighter I can be. There are so many coaches that have helped me along the way. I am so blessed to have some of the best boxing, Muay Thai kickboxing, Brazilian jiu-jitsu, and wrestling coaches of every aspect of MMA to guide and help me along the way,” stated Vigil. After an amateur career seeing Vigil acquire eight wins, six by finish, Vigil entered the professional ranks in February 2017.

Professional Run and Potential Big Title Hopes

Currently 9-1 as a professional, Vigil has shown his range as the previous TSE lightweight champion. He has even competed as high as light heavyweight, earning a victory against Randy McCarty at Battle MMA Championships 3 in June 2022. July 21, 2024, will see Vigil compete in the biggest opportunity of his career thus far when he meets Ty Gwerder for the vacant Fury FC middleweight championship in the night’s main event. “I’ve been working my whole entire life to become the best in the world and so grateful to have found Fury FC. They’re an amazing group of people and promotion, and it is going to be an honor that I’m going to be their middleweight champion,” said Vigil.

With this being such a huge opportunity for the rising middleweight star, what can fans expect to see when the Fury FC cage door closes behind Gwerder and himself? “What fans can expect is for me to go in there and get violent and show the best version of me and every aspect as a fighter and a man. I’m always going for the finish because that’s my style but I’m ready for anything as this has been the best camp I’ve ever had!” stated Vigil.
