We’ve been awaiting the announcement for UFC 300’s main event for some time now, as the 11-fight lineup had remained the same for the last couple weeks, and many were worried the UFC was scrambling to put a main event together.

Alex Pereira, following victory over former champion Jan Blachowicz (SD) in his divisional debut, just won the title in a vacant championship fight against former champion Jiri Prochazka (TKO) at UFC 295, Prochazka of which vacated the belt due to a shoulder injury he suffered in 2022.
Jamahal Hill also vacated the title quite soon after winning it as he ruptured his Achilles tendon playing basketball in mid-2023. His last win comes over another former champion in Glover Teixeira (UD) where he won the title in January of last year.
Pereira also boasts impressive wins over former UFC middleweight champions Sean Strickland (KO) and Israel Adesanya (TKO), while Hill also has impressive wins over Ovince Saint Preux (TKO), Jimmy Crute (KO), Johnny Walker (KO), and former title challenger Thiago Santos (TKO).
These two are both incredibly dangerous strikers that can end any light-heavyweights night in the blink of an eye.
Who wins this epic light-heavyweight championship encounter going down in UFC 300’s main event come April?
