Alex Pereira will make his first light heavyweight title defense at in the main event of UFC 300 when he meets former champ Jamahal Hill.
With these two men making the final walks of the historical UFC event, let’s do a preview and prediction of the UFC 300 main event.

Breakdown
Pereira looks great at 205 pounds and I hope he never moves back down to middleweight.
Now that Pereira has won championships in two different weight classes, he absolutely has the respect of everyone and anyone watching his fights knows not to blink.
However, do you know who else has power? Hill.
We saw Israel Adesanya knock Pereira out cold so don’t sleep on Hill here.
Big thing coming into this fight is going to be the activity of Pereira vs. the inactivity of Hill.
Pereira has been fighting a lot since he came into the UFC and Hill hasn’t fought in almost a year and half after suffering an injury that forced him to vacate the light heavyweight that he won in January of 2023.
We’ll soon find out if Hill has any ring rust.

Prediction
Does anyone actually think this fight goes 25 minutes? I don’t. Both of these guys have the power to end a fight and if they come out swinging, I expect someone to go down.
As stated above, we’ll see if Hill has ring rust and if he does, you’d have to imagine its Pereira who will get the win.
Every fighter has a different take on ring rust, but it seems more likely than not that ring rust is indeed a real thing.
