Alfred Walker – “Excited to Make Noise on the Fury FC Stage”

Fresh off an opportunity for the LFA featherweight title, Alfred Walker is ready to return to action and continue that climb toward MMA championship gold. On July 12, 2024, he will meet Lorram Esteves in the night’s main event of Fury FC 93: Esteves vs. Walker. The Xtreme Fight Night featherweight kickboxing champion will look to continue to translate those dangerous striking skills as he makes his Fury FC debut.

Finding His Way To Combat Sports

Walker travelled the tough route of wrestling as his doorway to MMA. “I wrestled in high school, joined a local MMA gym years after graduating, and did a few fights. I eventually got with a new coach, who introduced me to Muay Thai. Then, I started kickboxing on a 29-2 run, and jumped back into MMA. Now I’m here!” Walker told MYMMANEWS. Walker would also segway from wrestling to boxing, beginning his training in that in 2009 before jumping into amateur fights.

“First off, I give credit to the man above, which gives me life to continue the journey. I wouldn’t be who I am if it wasn’t for Team FreightTrain. That’s everyone who’s helped me along the way regardless if it’s been good or bad,” stated Walker. Freight Train MMA is located in Muskogee, Oklahoma and serves as the home base for Walker’s evolution and hunt for championship gold. After compiling a 6-5 record to start his professional MMA career concluding in 2015, Walker took some time to dive into his professional kickboxing career beginning in August 2019 earning a decision win over Louisiana’s Kendrik Williams.

Six years after his last MMA appearance, Walker returned to the cage earning a first-round TKO stoppage in 2021. Since then, Walker has greatly improved his MMA game, going 6-2 since the 2021 return. His time off in the kickboxing world played a huge role in the turnaround. “With kickboxing, I learned to have fun. My kickboxing is world-class, and I don’t see anyone being close to striking with me, thus the reason why a lot of guys try their luck on the ground. My ground is catching to my striking, and this weekend, you may see how much I’ve grown as a fighter on the ground,” stated Walker.

Fury FC 93

So, what can fans expect from this version 2.0 of Walker who has reemerged in 2021 in the main event of Fury FC 93? “Fireworks! An entertaining fighter that looks good, creating beautiful violence. I’ve headlined my last 10+ fights for four different promotions. I’m excited to make some noise on the Fury Fighting Championship stage,” said Walker.
