Andre Muniz set to take on Brendan Allen at a Fight Night card in February
Andre Muniz will look to remain undefeated in the UFC in February.
According to Ag Fight, Muniz is set to return to the Octagon on February 25 at a Fight Night card against Brendan Allen. The location of the fight is uncertain at this time, while the main event sees a battle of ranked light heavyweights as Nikita Krylov takes on Ryan Spann.
Andre Muniz (23-4) is a perfect 5-0 in the UFC while he also won twice on the Contender Series. Last time out, he won a decision over Uriah Hall at UFC 276 in July and prior to that, he submitted Eryk Anders at UFC 269. The Brazilian also holds a first-round submission victory over Jacare Souza, while his other two wins are a submission win over Bartosz Fabinski, and in his debut, he beat Antonio Arroyo by decision.
To get into the UFC, Muniz submitted Taylor Johnson in the first round of the Contender Series in 2019 after beating Bruno Assis by decision on DWCS in 2018 but did not get a contract.
Brendan Allen (20-5) is currently on a three-fight winning streak and is coming off a submission win over Krzysztof Jotko back in October. Also on the win streak, he beat Jacob Malkoun by decision and submitted Sam Alvey. In the UFC, he’s 8-2 with his two losses coming by knockout to Chris Curtis and Sean Strickland.
Allen is the former LFA middleweight champion who holds notable wins over Kevin Holland, Puna Soriano, and Kyle Daukaus. To get into the UFC, he submitted Aaron Jeffrey on the Contender Series in 2019.
