With tonight’s UFC Vegas 54 victory, Petroski now has three wins with the UFC. He also recorded finishes over Yaozong Hu and Micheal Gillmore.
“That’s my move,” Petroski told UFC Hall of Famer Michael Bisping in the post-fight interview. “That’s my position that we were working with – the front headlock. It’s amazing to see it work.”
Petroski said afterward he’s interested in fighting Gerald Meerschaert at UFC 275 on June 9 in Singapore.
The loss for Maximov will go down as the first and only blemish on his professional MMA record. His record now sits at 8-1. Petroski also moves to 8-1 the victory.
