Pancrase champ Andy Main challenges for CFFC title December 17
Cage Fury Fighting Championships has added a second title fight to the CFFC 62. Featherweight champion Jared Gordon (11-1) will defend his title against Pancrase champion Andy Main (11-2-1-1).
Gordon will be making his first title defense since defeating Anthony Morrison for the strap in July. Gordon did fight one month later for the CFFC promotion but the bout was at lightweight where he defeated Dawond Pickney.
Main captured the title for the Japanese mixed martial arts promotion when he defeated fellow Utlimate Fighter alum, Nam Phan in October 2015.
Main tells MyMMANews.com “I’m excited to be fighting on American soil again. I’m top notch, Jared is top notch, this is a fight where the actual two best around are going for it. Thanks to Arias (Garcia) and everybody at CFFC for making this fight.”
CFFC 62 is headlined by a highly anticipated flyweight tilt between Matt Lozano and Sean Santella. The card will be held in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
