Andy Nguyen retained her King of the Cage atomweight title with a unanimous decision win over challenger Bi Nguyen at the organization’s ‘GroundBreaking’ event at the Soboba Casino in San Jacinto, California
All three judges scored the five-round fight 49-46 in favor of the champion.
The fight was a rematch between the champion in “CrAsian” and ““KillHer Bee.” The first time around, Bi got the win via unanimous decision.
In March, King of the Cage announced the signing of fourteen women’s Mixed Martial Arts (MMA) athletes to exclusive, multi-fight contracts. These athletes are from the Atomweight (105 lbs.) and Strawweight (115 lbs.) divisions and represent the next chapter in the history of Women’s MMA. KOTC will cut each division off at eight total. Both Nguyens were included in that list.
