Angela Lee on readjusting to training after giving birth
Angela Lee is the reigning ONE Atomweight world champion. Unstoppable has been out of action for a bit as she has given birth and is expanding her family unit.
The return of Lee is looming though as the ONE Atomweight Grand Prix has recently just kicked off. A tournament moving onto the semi-finals stage designed to solidify a number one contender for Angela Lee’s crown.

The recent history-making ONE: Empower event last week had many tendrils connecting to Angela Lee.
Not just in terms of the aforementioned ONE Championship Atomweight tournament. But Lee has also competed against both main event fighters Xiong Jing Nan and Michelle Nicolini who were contesting for the ONE Strawweight world title.
Lee’s last fight was in October 2019 which saw her tie up her series with Jing Nan at one win apiece. She secured a rear-naked choke victory in the final frame with seconds left in the bout.
I spoke with Angela Lee at a recent ONE media day for the Lee family. The excerpt from our interaction is below.

When I was speaking with your sister Victoria ahead of her last fight there, she was talking about how it was cool that you were able to reintegrate yourself into training; Do some drills again.
I’m kind of curious to hear your perspective just being able to get back to it alongside your sister in her burgeoning fight career.
“I really missed being on the mats with my siblings. So I was very excited to get back. I did have to ease myself into it. For me, that was difficult because I like to just go 100%. And my mind remembers where I left off. But yeah, now that we’re kind of past that stage and kind of getting back into more serious training, it’s so nice to see just how much Victoria has been progressing. Really making a name for herself in the organization. So I’m very, very proud of her.”
