Anthony Dill: “I don’t think he’s going to be able to handle my pressure”
In just a few short days, Delaware’s premier kickboxing promotion, Gut Check Championship Series returns to “The First State” for an action-packed pro/am card.
Sanctioned by the World Kickboxing Alliance, Gut Check Championship Series has been a staple for over a decade, matching some of the top-tier kickboxers in the region.
Predominantly known as an MMA Fighter, Anthony Dill will confidently put his striking skills to the test in a short-notice kickboxing bout with Brandon Cuttino, serving as the main event of Gut Check Championship Series.
Anthony Dill, who represents Algeo MMA steps up on short notice to take on Brandon Cuttino following Cuttino’s original opponent, Gary Mack being forced to withdraw.
“This is something that I’ve really been trying to this for a while,” Dill says. Wasting no time to jump on the opportunity, Dill elaborates, “this popped up and I jumped right on it.”
While some may question an MMA fighter crossing over into a kickboxing bout, Dill contends he does not doubt his stand-up game. “Yeah, I grappled and wrestled my whole life,” Dill says. “But I’m a really good striker,” he assures. Continuing, “anyone who trains with me, knows I’m a striker!”
Ready for the impending chance of pace, “I’m expecting a little more of a challenge from what (I would expect from) a guy my size,” Dill claims. Contending, “I’m going to have fun in there!” Methodically predicting the particulars of his professional debut kickboxing bout, “I don’t think he’s going to be able to handle my pressure (or) my power,” Dill says. I don’t know what he’s going to do when I’m walking him down the entire time, throwing punches as hard as I can.”
Tune in above as MyMMANews catches up with Anthony Dill ahead of his bout with Brandon Cuttino to discuss their upcoming Gut Check Championship main event going down Saturday, June 10th.
