UFC releases statement on Anthony Johnson, Anthony Rumble Johnson

Anthony Johnson slams Paulo Costa after Brazilian calls him out: ‘I’m not the one kid’

Anthony Johnson had to take matters into his own hands after Paulo Costa seemingly called him out on social media.

Following Costa’s UFC 253 loss to Israel Adesanya, Johnson said he was surprised by how the Brazilian handed the loss and demanding a rematch after being dominated. Costa quickly caught wind of that and took to social media to call out Johnson.

Anthony rumble Johnson shut up moron you even don’t know which weight class you should fight.

To no surprise, Anthony Johnson caught wind of the tweet and absolutely fired back at the Brazilian saying he is not the one and Costa should know his role.

don’t do the talking back and forth but the last BBC you did that to fucked your ass at the end DOGGY STYLE. Now your name is LOOSE BOOTY You must want missionary next by me? I respect you but make sure you know your role… I’m not the 1 kid
Anthony Johnson retired from the sport after he was submitted by Daniel Cormier at UFC 210. However, as of late he has hinted at a return to the sport. He even re-entered the USADA testing pool. The big question about ‘Rumble’s’ return is what weight he will fight at. He left the sport at light heavyweight but has hinted at possibly fighting at 205 or heavyweight. When he comes back, he would likely get a big name in his return and Costa would be that if he moves up to 205.
Paulo Costa, meanwhile, is coming off a second-round TKO loss to Israel Adesanya for the middleweight title. It was the first loss of his career. He has beat the likes of Yoel Romero and Uriah Hall inside the Octagon. Since the loss, the likes of Derek Brunson have called him out but now it appears the Brazilian could be interested in fighting Rumble, which Johnson says isn’t a good idea for him.
