Artem Lobov and Khabib Nurmagomedov Confrontation Ahead Of UFC 223
UFC 223 participants Khabib Nurmagomedov and Artem Lobov had to be separated today at the UFC host hotel in Brooklyn, New York. Nurmagomedov who faces UFC featherweight champion Max Holloway in Saturday night’s pay-per-view main event was seen arguing with Lobov in a video posted to Youtube.
The two fighters were speaking Russian. Luckily for both men, no physical altercation came to be. Nurmagomedov has had words with Conor McGregor in the past. Lobov and McGregor are of course good friends which likely led to the confrontation in New York today. Lobov, who is from Russia, moved to Ireland to train full time with McGregor and his team at Straight Blast Gym Ireland (SBG). It is not yet certain whether McGregor will be in attendance for Saturday night’s fights.
Lobov is currently on a two-fight losing streak and will be facing Alex Caceres on Saturday night at UFC 223.
