Austin Vanderford returning at Bellator 246 against Daniel Madrid
Austin Vanderford is returning to the Bellator cage on Sept 12. MMA Junkie reported that Vanderford will face Daniel Madrid in a middleweight bout at Bellator 246.
Vanderford (9-0) has won all three of fights with Bellator and this fight will be his first of 2020. Earlier this week, it was revealed that Vanderford tested positive for COVID-19. Since the positive test, he’s tested negative twice.
Madrid (17-6) was going to fight Impa Kasanganay for the LFA middleweight title on March 20, but the event was canceled due to the coronavirus pandemic. Kasanganya just earned a UFC contract on Dana White’s Contender Series last week and will debut in the UFC next weekend.
Bellator 246 is apart of back-to-back Bellator events. Bellator 245 will be on Sept. 11 and Bellator 246 will take place the next day.

Juan Archuleta vs. Patchy Mix (for the vacant bantamweight title)
Jon Fitch vs. Neiman Gracie
DeAnna Bennett vs. Liz Carmouche
Derek Campos vs. Roger Huerta
