Azunna Anyanwu: “I’ve Always Wanted To Fight Kimbo Toe-To-Toe”
In recent news, Kevin “Kimbo Slice” Ferguson (4-2) has signed on with Bellator Fighting Championships. The biggest question was “who should Kimbo fight”?
Azunna Anyanwu (7-3) just posted via his social media that he would love the opportunity to fight Kimbo and go “toe to toe” against him.
“I’ve always wanted to fight Kimbo toe 2 toe, I think he’s a bad ass dude. Can somebody make this happen? #notakedowns” Anyanwu stated from his twitter account.
“Zu” was the former heavyweight champion of CFFC, and has previously fought in Bellator back in 2011, defeating J.A Dudley via TKO from strikes in the second round. Anyanwu told My MMA News that he is currently a free agent and ready for the call from Bellator’s front office.
“Kimbo” made his name from his street fights posted in Youtube. From there he transitioned to the world of mixed martial arts, eventually becoming a cast member in The Ultimate Fighter Season back in 2009. Kimbo ‘ s last fight was in 2010 at UFC 113, where he suffered a TKO loss to Matt Mitrione.
Albeit the five year layoff from the world of MMA, Kimbo’s name still holds value and interest to MMA fans, and Scott Coker knows that Kimbo can still bring in ratings, especially if he is paired up against another fighter who is willing to strike against him.
