Becky Lynch could “hang in MMA if she ever wanted to”
Becky Lynch maybe in the WWE, but recently MyMMANews learned that she has talent in the MMA world.
For those who don’t follow professional wrestling or have lost track with the WWE in recent years, Lynch is a one of the biggest superstars on the promotion’s roster.
Each week her face is on billboards, fans show to arena after arena wearing her shirts and whether she is a baby face or a heel, the pop she gets from a live audience is hard to be matched. It’s reasons like this which have led to making her one of the highest paid superstars in all of the WWE.
Now while the WWE may not be a full-on fight like many are used to seeing in the MMA and boxing world, don’t let Lynch’s pretty face and amazing wardrobe choices full you as she’s actually tough as nails.
For starters, she really got her rise to superstardom in the WWE when she ate an actual full-on punch during a match, broke her nose, suffered a concussion and still finish the match while picking up a victory.
Of course, to be able to perform at that high of level, Lynch has to be in fantastic shape. While she is a gym rat and often is working out at a wrestling gym in Iowa started by her husband, fellow WWE star Seth “Freakin” Rollins, Lynch also trains in the MMA world.
When Lynch is back in her home country of Ireland, she stops by SBG Ireland, the gym famously put on the map from former UFC champion and sports icon Conor McGregor, to train jiu-jitsu and get a workout in with SBG head coach John Kavanagh.
Earlier this week, MyMMANews spoke with undefeated Irish Bellator strawweight prospect Danni McCormack ahead of her upcoming fight at Bellator 275. McCormack, who trains at SBG and her husband is a coach at the gym, told MyMMANews that she hasn’t personally gotten to work with Lynch, but from what she’s been told hangs with everyone in the gym.
While McCormack admits that Lynch is too big of star to come over to the MMA world, but she “can hang in MMA if she ever wanted too.”
